COMIKAGI (Cooperative Miniere Kababara et Gikingo) is a mining cooperative dedicated to responsible resource extraction, community empowerment, and sustainable development. We operate in Gakenke District, Rwanda, focusing on cassiterite and coltan mining.
Our mission is to balance economic growth with environmental stewardship. We aim to provide employment opportunities, promote fair trade, and invest in community projects that improve education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
We envision a future where mining contributes positively to society, ensuring that local communities benefit directly from natural resources. Transparency, accountability, and sustainability guide our vision.
COMIKAGI invests in social programs, including clean water initiatives, youth training, and environmental conservation. We believe mining should strengthen communities, not divide them.
March 2026: COMIKAGI launched a renewable energy project to power mining operations sustainably. We also expanded training programs for young geologists and introduced new safety protocols.
